“Laser-assisted material processing”

Lasers have proved to be effective tools for precise material processing and diagnostics for a wide range of applications taking advantage of versatile thermal/non-thermal excitation mechanisms selectively activated at a widely tunable range of temporal and spatial domains. This talk is mainly devoted to presenting recent progress achieved in the field of laser-assisted material processing including thin film photovoltaic solar cell scribing, additive processing for thermoelectric generator and thermal insulation composites, ablative nanoparticles production, and laser-assisted thin film deposition and semiconductor micro/nanomaterials chemical synthesis.
