Lasers have proved to be effective tools for precise material processing and diagnostics for a wide range of applications taking advantage of versatile thermal/non-thermal excitation mechanisms selectively activated at a widely tunable range of temporal and spatial domains. This talk is mainly devoted to presenting recent progress achieved in the field of laser-assisted manufacturing of thin film photovoltaic solar cells including flexible or building-integrated configurations on the basis of CIGS and/or Perovskite thin film material systems.
